The third annual Festival People made its mark on San Antonio this weekend.

The event, which was put together by People En Español, took place on Saturday and Sunday, and celebrities like Zendaya, Maite Perroni and Julian Gil attended the fest.

Here's a breakdown of what happened.

Maite Perroni Wants to Become a Triple Threat

Maite Perroni is already a successful singer and actress, but she also wants to move into the world of fashion.

It will be called Maite Perroni Collection, and it will debut in December.

"I looked to the essence and comfort of women," she said. "It's going to reflect my likes, but interpreted through many different personalities: classic and feminine, bohemian and rocker."

Perroni said she has gone from having very basic style to really understanding what it is that she likes and what best works on her.

She also opened up about her character on "La Gata," which premieres on Univision on Sept. 1.

"It's a character that has enriched my life very much," she said. "The environment has, of course, helped me. The garbage was real."

The Future of Telenovelas

Julian Gil, Edith Gonzalez, Sara Maldonado and Gabriel Coronel talked about where telenovelas are going.

Gonzalez believes that female characters are evolving alongside women. So as they increasingly become leaders or have better careers, the telenovelas capture this.

Maldonado explained that telenovelas are becoming less of a woman's only show. She said that the new plots that center around drugs can really captivate the male audience.

Gil added that the stories are also becoming more accessible for families to watch together because the plots touch on social issues.

Joking about his villainous role in "Hasta El Fin Del Mundo," he explained how his fortune will change.

"The villain has a really bad ending, but also he has a really good time for almost the entire run of the series," he said.

Coronel talked about how getting into character leaves actors vulnerable, which was confirmed by Gil, who says it's important to not take on your character's personality in real life.

Miguelito on Breaking Into the English-Speaking Market

Miguelito has made an important step to furthering his music career by moving to the United States.

"I'm filled with pride to elevate the name of Latinos by being the youngest artist to crossover," he said.

But change is nothing new for the singer, who says that he is constantly bringing new elements to his music, such as pop, merengue, salsa.

He is mostly known for reggaeton, which he doesn't plan to leave behind anytime soon.

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez's Next Step

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez may be succeeding in his career now, but the boxer said it took him a lot of hard work to get where he is.

"I've had to battle a lot to get here," he said. "Now that I have the opportunity to help others, I do it from the heart."

He plans on launching a fashion line, and he hopes to be a successful business man after he retires. He said this motivates him to work harder at his sport.

Canelo was also asked about his love life, but he wouldn't say if he was in a relationship. He explained that the rumors are always going to exist.

But he did explain what he looks for in a woman.

"They should be kind," he said. "The most important thing is that there's chemistry."
