There's good news for TV fans anxiously waiting for the Season 3 premiere of "Arrow" this fall.

In case you can't wait for the highly anticipated debut of Season 3 to kick off, then you can start catching up on all the action with DC's digital-first comic "Arrow: Season 2.5," which picks up where the Season 2 finale left off, and teases what's to come next season.

The digital comic, which is currently available for purchase, was written by "Arrow's" executive producer Marc Guggenheim and executive story editor Keto Shimizu. In it, DC Comics fans will find a narrative that bridges the five month gap between Seasons 2 and 3, without the confines of television.

"We really tried to recreate the narrative experience the show offers in comic book form," Guggenheim told MTV. "And to that end, we were trying to tell the kinds of stories we tell on 'Arrow,' but at the same time take advantage of the seemingly limitless budget, and limitless scope the medium of comic books offers."

As a result, readers can expect to see more over-the-top action and a host of characters from the TV series, including Amanda Waller, the Suicide Squad, Brother Blood, Deathstroke and Black Canary.

The series will also introduce some of the new characters appearing in the upcoming season.

The first chapter of "Arrow: Season 2.5" is available now via the DC Comics App, comiXology.com, ReadDCEntertainment.com, iBooks, Google Play, Kindle Store, and the Nook Store for $0.99.

They will also be collected and published monthly, the first issue of which will see print on Oct. 8, the same day as the TV series' season premiere, reports Entertainment Weekly.

According to Shimizu, the digital comic lays "the foundation for what's going to be a very exciting Season 3 but also tying up some loose ends and having Oliver confront some old enemies and really just getting him ready for a very difficult year."

"Arrow: Season 2.5" also sets up the next step in Oliver's overall evolution from a vigilante to a hometown superhero, says Guggenheim.

However, Guggenheim says that Oliver will have to cope with the duality of being a superhero.

"He's trying to balance his identity as Oliver Queen with his identity as the Arrow. That duality is really going to be tested and it's going to force Oliver to make some difficult choices. And we're going to start laying the pipe for those choices and dramatic moments here in the comic book," says the EP.

"Arrow" also released a new video promo, revealing that Oliver and Felicity will finally connect on a romantic level.

In the 20 second preview, Oliver hints that he still has secrets before it cuts to an anticipated the much talked-about Oliver-Felicity kiss in the premiere. Watch it below.

"Arrow" premieres on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
