According to a recent survey, One Direction's fans prefer Harry Styles to date Miley Cyrus than other female celebrities.

Styles and Cyrus actually share several things in common - both are successful hitmakers, have gone through a split just last year (from "KUWTK" reality star/model Kendall Jenner and "Hunger Games" actor Liam Hemsworth, respectively), and are often romantically linked with a bunch of other famous figures.

In the poll conducted by Plus.net, the twerking pop star was chosen to be the British singer's next girlfriend, as one out of five One Directioners voted for her. In fact, she defeated Katy Perry, Selena Gomez and Cheryl Cole among other female celebrity choices.

Although a majority of Styles' fan voted for Cyrus, the survey also revealed that they are not quite happy about the 1D frontman's previous choices of women in the past and do not want him to end up with any of them. 

Moreover, there were some surprising names that appeared on the list of top 10 female celebrities that Styles should date: 55-year-old Brit chef Nigella Lawson, Prince Harry's ex-girlfriend Cressida Bonas, fellow English singer but much older Katie Price, as well as former "Celebrity Big Brother" contender Stephanie Pratt.

The poll also revealed interesting fact about the "Midnight Memories" singer - he is more popular than British Prime Minister David Cameron, as 71 percent of British youth are aware of him while only 66 percent of children know who Cameron is.
