First, her high fashion modeling career and now, Kendall Jenner is reportedly in talks to make her film debut by starring in the anxiously awaited sequel to "Fifty Shades of Grey," coming to theaters in time for Valentine's Day 2015.

MailOnline reported that director Sam Taylor-Wood is a huge fan of the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" reality star and is trying to get her to sign on for the upcoming movie.

"[Sam]'s fascinated by her and expressed interest in her appearing in the first film but it didn't happen," an insider revealed to Grazia Magazine. "Universal is also keen for Kendall to be involved in the sequel. They put in a call to her people and arranged a meeting last month, which went really well."

"It wouldn't be a major role but would certainly be a foot in the door of Hollywood," the insider added. "Apparently, she'll only sign on once Sam Taylor-Wood is confirmed as the director."

While she may appear on the big screen for the BDSM-film based on British author E.L. James' erotic romance novel, the brunette beauty recently dropped her last name from her portfolio to differentiate herself from the notorious clan.

"She just wants some independence from her family," a source told HollywoodLife.com. "Everyone in the business refers to her on a first-name basis, anyway."

"Plus, she thinks it's cool! She's always looked up to Twiggy and Giselle, and they're on a first-name basis, too," the source added. "It's really important to Kendall that she makes a name for herself on her own and she feels like dropping her last name helps with that goal."
