Actors Emily Blunt and John Krasinski are expecting their first baby.

According to a Us Weekly source, Blunt, who played Sara in 2012's Looper, and Krasinski, who played Jim Halpert in NBC's "The Office," have been taking steps to prepares themselves to be parents.

"They both want kids," the source said. "It's one of the reasons they got a bigger place in a neighborhood that you can raise a family. They both couldn't be more excited."

Last year, the British actress Blunt told Manhattan magazine about her and her husband's dreams of beginning their own family.

"We want to have children; I just don't know when yet," Blunt said in the interview with Manhattan magazine. "I'm just not sure about the timing of all of that. We're both from big families, so I think it's something we want."

Soon after the interview was released, Krasinski appeared on NBC's "Today" and shared that he has been getting experience with children through his friends who have kids. This includes Krasinski's friend Matt Damon, 42, who Krasinski was working with on their film Promised Land.

In 2007, About.com interviewed Krasinski regarding his film License to Wed. During the interview, the web site asked Krasinski how many kids he wanted to have.

"Seventeen," Krasinski said at first before getting slightly more serious. "Two? Isn't that like an answer? One in each hand."

Blunt, 30, and Krasinski, 33, were married in Italy in 2010. Apparently, the two have had fun ever since.

"This is what I find difficult about talking about my marriage," Blunt told Manhattan. "It's hard to sum up something that's so vital and means everything to you in a sound bite. Do you know what I mean? All I can say is that it's an effing blast. It's just great, and I'm so happy."

George Clooney, 52, Meryl Streep, 64, and Jimmy Kimmel, 45, were amongst the stars that attended Blunt's and Krasinski's wedding ceremony.

"Meeting John really changed my life," Blunt said in an interview with InStyle magazine in April. "When I feel the support I have from him, I feel invincible. There's someone behind you on your good days and someone in front of you on your bad days."

Blunt will play Baker's Wife in the upcoming film adaptation of Into the Woods.

Krasinski is currently working on his role as the voice of Halim in the animated film, The Prophet.
