A woman was found alive Saturday after she had been missing for nearly two months in southern Indiana. The 30-year-old Indiana woman had been held against her will in a mobile home where two individuals in Posey County kept her locked in a wooden cage, according to authorities.

The woman was rescued by a man who was visiting the occupants of the trailer home. Ron Higgs told a local television station he was visiting his ex-wife, Kendra Tooley, and her boyfriend, Ricky Roy House Jr., in their mobile home Thursday when Tooley told Higgs, "I've got a girl back here in a cage."

Higgs, 61, said that Tooley and House had been keeping the woman locked up but would let her out to cook and clean. The woman reportedly pleaded to Higgs for help. He returned to the trailer Saturday night and convinced House and Tooley he wasn't going to tell police.

However, once Higgs had gotten the woman to safety, he called the authorities. House, 37, and Tooley, 44, were arrested early Sunday on charges of preliminary criminal confinement and rape. The pair's initial court hearings in Posey County are scheduled for Monday.

Authorities said the mother of two had been reported missing July 13 from the Evansville, Indiana, area. The woman is one of two women who went missing this summer, and early on there was speculation that the two cases may be linked. However, Posey County Sheriff Gregory Oeth said Sunday that it now appears these disappearances were unrelated.

Oeth said that in this case, the woman was walking along a street in Evansville when House pulled up in a car and offered her a ride. The woman and House had known each other from attending the same school. House said they had to go to his mobile home before he could take her the rest of the way.

"Once they arrived there, he forced her to stay and confined her," Oeth said.

Her family posted a joyous message on Facebook Saturday after they discovered she was alive.

"SHE IS ALIVE AND WELL," the post said. "She appreciates everyone's time and energy. We are so happy she is found safe...THANK YOU LORD! Please give her and her family privacy during this time."
