New romantic relationship between Ariana Grande and Big Sean has reportedly become quite serious, as "it's gone from 0 to 60 fast."

According to Us Weekly, the former Nickelodeon actress and the Detroit emcee had "chemistry immediately."

"Sean asked Ariana out in a romantic way, and they went to the movies," a source revealed. "They are much happier than in their previous relationships."

The couple apparently went on a movie date to see "The Purge" at The Grove in Los Angeles earlier this month. An eyewitness claimed that they came in about a quarter way and saw them kissing during the film. He added that they then left before the movie was over.

The latest claim follows Grande recently hinting that she still has several new collaborative tracks to release with her current boyfriend. While hosting music countdown radio show "American Top 40 with Ryan Seacrest" on Aug. 30, she was asked which artist she likes to collaborate with.

"I think I love working with Sean the most just because we've done so many songs together, and he's amazing... And he's one of my favorite people ever," she replied. "We always do tons of music together. There's a few songs that y'all haven't even heard yet."

The pair previously teamed up on a number of tracks, including the most recently dropped "Best Mistake," "Right There," as well as her smash hit "Problem."

In addition, after being the subject of numerous dating rumors, the "Break Free" singer and her frequent collaborator all-but confirmed their relationship at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, as they showed off some PDA backstage by holding each other's hand.

Another source told E! News: "They have been friends since they made the song together. They have been spending more time together and recently have been getting very close. They are both doing great."
