Jennifer Lopez is making her return to movies.

Lopez, who has been focusing on her music career as of late, will star in "The Boy Next Door." The Latina actress will play a high school teacher, who gets a new neighbor. The boy moves in after his parents die in a car crash.

The boy is played by Ryan Guzman, whose character tells Lopez's that she's beautiful. He apologizes for being so forward.

"It's OK," Lopez's character says. "That's the nicest thing anyone's said to me in a long time."

The next scene shows the two kissing and undressing, but afterwards she tries to cut things off. She said she made a mistake, but the boy becomes obsessed.

He puts pictures of the two around the school and he becomes upset when Lopez's character is spending more time with the father of her son.

Things escalate, and the end of the trailer shows fire and a car chase.

In real life, Lopez recently opened up about living the single life.

"I'm just being on my own," she told Meredith Vieira. "I feel like I need that right now. I've been in relationships kind of back to back my whole life and I just needed time."

Instead, Lopez wants to focus on her children and her friends. Lopez believes that taking care of herself is a good step to having solid relationship with others.

Vieira asked Lopez if she ever has moments where she looks less than perfect, and Lopez said she definitely does.

"Oh my god! This morning it took a minute to put all of this together," she said. "Nobody's perfect all the time and certainly not me. I wake up and I think to myself, 'Oh my God. Put it together Lopez. Let's go!'"
