Apple announced two new iPhone models Tuesday at an event in Cupertino, California. What's the difference between the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus? Only two things really.

The most obvious one is the size. Both models sport the same new design with rounder edges than the iPhone 5s and ion-strengthened cover glass, but the iPhone 6 Plus features a larger display.

The regular iPhone 6 comes with a 4.7-inch Retina HD screen with a 1334 X 750 resolution capable of 326 pixels per inch, roughly a little more than 720p HD. The iPhone 6 Plus, however, has a 5.5-inch Retina HD with a 1920 X 1080 resolution. For those counting, that means 401 pixels per inch and full 1080p HD.

The iPhone 6 Plus's display also hosts two million pixels thanks to the increased real estate while the iPhone 6's screen contains a little over one million.

Both phones, despite the design changes, are still the slimmest iPhones to date.

The other major difference, and really the only other one, lies in the phones' cameras. Both come the same iSight 8-megapixel shooter, but the iPhone 6 Plus's also has optical image stabilization. Apple redesigned the camera so that it can now be stabilized in more directions than ever before, providing photographers with reduced blurring. The iPhone 6's camera, meanwhile, only features digital stabilization, with none of the physical gyroscopic technology of the iPhone 6 Plus.

Video-wise, the two iPhone cameras are the same, being able to take 1080p video at 60fps and slow-motion shots at 240fps.

Other than that, pretty much everything else inside the two iPhone 6s are the same. Both will come with iOS 8 pre-installed, and both house the new A8 processing chip and M8 motion coprocessor as well the same video recording technologies. The new iPhones will also be the most compatible yet, working with 20 LTE bands with over 200 carriers worldwide.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be available to pre-ordering September 12 and will release to the public September 19 through all major U.S. carriers.

Of course there is one more difference: price.
