Week 2 of the 2014 National Football League season kicks off on Thursday night with two decorated franchises going head to head.

Thursday Night Football features the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens. These two teams have engaged in one of the biggest rivalries in the entire NFL during the 21st century.

Combined, the Steelers and Ravens have appeared in five Super Bowls since the 2000 NFL season. Latin Post previews the game and predicts the winner:

Pittsburgh Steelers (1-0)

The Steelers escaped a narrow defeat in Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns. They defeated the Browns at Heinz Field 30-27 on Shaun Suisham's 41-yard field goal as time expired. What better way to start off the season with a 2-0 record against two division opponents? Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had a huge passing day with 365 yards against the Browns defense.

Still, it was pretty alarming for the Steelers to blow a 24-point lead at home to the Browns. The defense couldn't get a stop, and offense struggled very much in the second half to score. The Steelers were outscored in the second half 24-3. But a win is a win.

Running back Le'Veon Bell's 197 total yards played a big factor in Week 1. He is a great runner and receiver out of the back field. There's no doubt, he will be the focus of the offense against the Ravens on Thursday night.

Baltimore Ravens (0-1)

The Ravens experienced a devastating loss in Week 1 to the Cincinnati Bengals. After trailing 15-0 at halftime, the Ravens stormed back to score the next 16 consecutive points. Seven of those points came on an incredible 80-yard Joe Flacco pass to wide receiver Steve Smith. But the Ravens couldn't hold the lead as Andy Dalton would connect with A.J Green on a 77-yard pass, in what would be the game winner.

This is a must-win for Ravens. If they lose this game, they would be 0-2 overall and 0-2 in the division, while the Steelers would be the exact opposite. The Ravens will also be playing their third consecutive divisional game next week, against the Cleveland Browns.

Flacco is going to need to protect the football against the Steelers defense. Unfortunately for him, it looks as if he will be throwing the ball a lot, because the running game shows little promise. Flacco threw the ball 62 times in Week 1.

Schedule, When & Where to Watch

The Steelers and Ravens will play each other at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 8:25 p.m. EST Thursday, Sept. 11 on CBS. Live streaming of the game is available on the official NFL Rewind page.

Predictions

These two teams always play each other tough, and give fans a great national game to watch. The Steelers would love to go in to Baltimore and get the victory, but the Ravens are desperate at home. The Ravens still have a good offensive line, and the Steelers secondary is capable of giving up the big play.

Ravens win 23-17
