While promoting his book, "unPHILtered," author Phil Robertson talked about homosexuality.

"Is this coincidental that all of the immoral conduct America is now participating in. ... Do you think it's a coincidence that these debilitating -- literally that can cause death -- diseases follow that kind of conduct?" the "Duck Dynasty" star said on a Christian radio show.

He said that people thinking that relationships are only between one man and one woman is what has gotten them into trouble. But he explains that in a monogamous relationship between a man and a woman, there won't be any disease.

"To me, either it's the wildest coincidence ever that horrible diseases follow immoral conduct, or, it's God saying, 'There's a penalty for that kind of conduct,'" he said. "I'm leaning towards there's a penalty toward it."

Robertson said he believes that what the Bible says is not just outdated material.

He also offered a solution to people who want to be disease free. He said to keep to a heterosexual relationship.

Robertson was supposed to be suspended from "Duck Dynasty" last year for his anti-gay comments to GQ Magazine. But A&E eventually reversed the suspension, notes the LA Times.

An executive said that though Robertson used "coarse language," his family had publicly apologized for that.

"But 'Duck Dynasty' is not a show about one man's view," A&E said. "It resonates with a large audience because it is a show about family ... a family that America has come to love."

Robertson had basically equated gay relationships to bestiality in the GQ interview.

GLAAD responded to Robertson's claims and said that he doesn't know anything about the gay community.

"Phil's decision to push vile and extreme stereotypes is a stain on A&E and his sponsors who now need to reexamine their ties to someone with such public disdain for LGBT people and families," said Wilson Cruz, spokesman for GLAAD.
