Following a large manhunt, Ohio police has captured convicted killer T.J. Lane. The teenage killer escaped from a correctional facility near Lima, Ohio Thursday evening along with two other inmates.

Lane, 19, escaped from an Ohio prison alongside two other inmates, though one was captured soon after the escape police told the Associated Press. Lane had been sentenced to three life sentences after he used a .22 caliber pistol to shoot students at the Chardon High School cafeteria two years ago, killing three classmates.

The other inmate that escaped with Lane has been identified as Clifford E. Opperud, 45, who was imprisoned for aggravated robbery, burglary, and kidnapping.

Lane rose to infamy when he refused to provide a reason for his actions and after he said profanities to the families of the victims during sentencing. Lane addressed the court in front of the families of Daniel Parmertor and Demetrius Hewlin, both 16, and Russel King Jr., 17, whom he killed.

"This hand that pulled the trigger that killed your sons now masturbates to the memory. F--- all of you," said Lane, wearing a white T-shirt with the word "killer" written on it in marker.

However, police captured Lane at around 1:20 a.m. Friday morning near the Allen Correctional Facility from where he had escaped, according to NBC News. His escape caused repercussions in the community. Chardon High School cancelled classes on Friday and offered counseling for students.

"Our thoughts and prayers today go out to the families of Demetrius, Russell and Danny and all others affected by the tragedy as well as by the troubling events from Thursday evening," said Michael P. Janlon Jr., superintendent of Chardon Local Schools.

Parents of the victims, however, expressed outrage at the thought that their children's killer managed to escape.

"This cannot be happening. This guy killed my son and killed three kids. What type of system are they running here?" said Timothy Hewlin, father of Demetrius, according to ABC News.
