Tim Tebow is set to become the newest member of ABC's "Good Morning America" as a contributor.

ABC News announced in a press release on Thursday that Tebow, who played three years in the NFL before becoming a free agent without a team and is the first-ever college (University of Florida) sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy, will help launch the two-hour live show's "Motivate Me Monday" series.

The upcoming segment is expected to feature "individuals and their amazing stories of triumph," and the 27-year-old athlete will "appear in studio and live on location in towns across America with a wide-range of reports that motivate and inspire."

This is not the former New York Jets quarterback's first time working with the morning program, as he already guest hosted prior to Super Bowl XLVIII back in January. Moreover, Tebow's television career is clearly taking off, as he signed broadcasting deal with ESPN, which included covering college football for the SEC Network this summer. At the time, he took to his Twitter account to express his excitement:

In addition, "GMA" brought another NFL star Michael Strahan as a part-time correspondent in April. In that same month, the show also hired Tony Reali, the host of ESPN's "Around the Horn," as a social media contributor.

"Good Morning America" airs weekday mornings from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. EDT. Tim Tebow will debut as a host on Monday, Sept. 15.
