Canadian singer-songwriter Kiesza revealed on Thursday that she has written two songs for Rihanna's highly anticipated eighth studio album.

OfficialCharts.com reported that the "Hideaway" hitmaker is hoping at least one of the tracks will make the final cut. "She recorded a couple of my songs. It's crazy. I don't know if they're definitely going to make the album, but she seems to be holding on to them," she said. "Sometimes you let a few people record your songs, but they sound enthusiastic and they told me not to give the songs to anyone else."

Ms. Ellestad then detailed one track that has a "very strong message." She said it is "really mellow -- almost vibey," and "was reproduced for Rihanna and now it has a lot more bounce to it. It almost sounds like a completely different song, despite the melody and lyrics being the same."

"It's one of my favorite songs I've ever written. It's one of those songs where the lyrics and melody just came together out of nowhere, kind of like 'Hideaway,'" Kiesza added. "I'm really surprised she chose it, it was so unexpected to me. It's an honor when people like Rihanna want to record your music."

In addition, Ty Dolla $ign revealed last month that he is working with the Barbadian star on her platinum-selling 2012 release "Unapologetic." He first revealed that he was actually hoping to collaborate with her on-and-off boyfriend Drake on the remix version of "Or Nah," the second single off his debut EP "Beach House." However, Drizzy failed to deliver his verse on the song.

Instead, the Toronto emcee introduced RiRi to Taylor Gang rapper's music, which led her to reach out to him after. "I did a song with Rihanna recently and I was like, 'How did you find out about me' and whatever. She said, 'Drake,'" the Los Angeles artist told HotNewHipHop. "She liked that 'Work' song, so I did something like similar for her project. It's crazy. She's a sweetheart."
