After performing in a skit with Drake at the ESPY Awards, Chris Brown recently revealed how he squashed beef with his one-time enemy and love rival.

While sitting down with MTV's Sway, the Virginia-native explained how he got a chance to poke fun at the infamous bottle throwing incident with the Toronto emcee at the annual event. "Well, I think it was [Drake's] camp that actually -- And him himself actually called and asked to do the skit," he said.

The "Loyal" hitmaker then insisted that he is now a changed man after serving his time in jail. "Especially after getting out of jail -- learning, going through what I've been going through, I just didn't have any animosity towards anybody," he said. "I'm just focused on me and what I was doing. So, I just felt it was a great opportunity being that the ESPYs are such a prestigious awards show. I just wanted to be able to bring light to the situation and just grow up."

"I'm 25. I'm not getting no younger. I'm still young, but you can't walk around holding grudges, looking over your shoulder. Being negative all the time," he continued. "I'm tired of being looked at as the aggressor. So, for me I just wanted to show my maturity."

So how did the two actually talk it out? "We young, so a lot of it ain't like 'Let's have a powwow and sit down over tea and drink,'" said Brown. "It's like 'Oh, what's up? You good? Cool. One-hundred.' What's already understood don't need to be explained. You know what I'm saying? So, it wasn't a problem."

Breezy and Drizzy were photographed in the studio together a couple of months ago. The "Drunk Texting" singer also admitted that if his sixth studio album "X" hadn't already been finished at the time, the collaboration with the "Worst Behavior" rapper could have happened. "If my album wasn't finished already it probably would have happened... Just working on music is something that we're gonna continuously try to do and make happen," he said. "I know it'll be a big thing for the fans if they hear a song, but it got to be the right song. For both of us at the end of the day."

Moreover, Chris Brown claimed he and Drake prefer quite different recording environments. "When we were in the studio he was like, 'Aw man, I need to have my studio like this.' I was like 'What you mean?' He was like 'Usually I'm in there with my producer or whatever and I'm in there by myself,'" he said. "See, my vibe is a little different. I like to have a party. It's like the club in my [studio]. It's like 15 or 20 girls, a couple of my homies, a couple of drinks. Everybody's having fun. And I just get the vibe off the energy from them. Unless I'm trying to write a really serious, sad song."
