NBA 2K15 Player Rankings, Gameplay, and Release: Kobe Bryant's Rating Slips
Kobe Bryant may be headed to another NBA All Star Game and probably to the NBA Hall of Fame but NBA 2K15 is not rating him as one of the top four players in the league.
NBA 2K15 released its player ratings today and Kobe Bryant comes in at a 89 overall rating. That's below LeBron James (98), Kevin Durant (95) and even grizzled veteran Tim Duncan (90).
Duncan's teammate Tony Parker is rated at an 88 and Manu Ginobili at 83. The Spurs may be getting old but they are still highly rated in the NBA game.
Last year Bryant was rated as a 93 overall rating. Could it be his age or the fact that the Los Angeles Lakers have not been very good for quite a while.
Bryant missed 76 games last year and he is still almost rated as a 90. It is still possible that during the season he could head up into the 90s? The NBA season is 82 games long, so Bryant has plenty of opportunities.
Trailer Released
Another trailer for the game has Shaquille O'Neal asking the question "What if?" The trailer shows off the MyTeam mode in NBA 2K15 which allows players to create their own scenarios, make their own decisions, play with classic players (Michael Jordan!) and even change LeBron's "Decision" and keep him on the Cavaliers.
Shaq too ponders in the trailer how his life could have been different. What if he never went to the Lakers? What if he stayed with the Magic? Would he have ever won a title? NBA 2K15 lets you reverse history or make your own.
What do you think about the ratings? Do you think Kobe is rated too low? Or too high? What about the new trailer that was released? Leave us a comment in the comments section below and let us know what you think.
