Convicted boyfriend killer Jodi Arias is auctioning off the eyeglasses she wore during her first trial in 2013.

Arias was found guilty in May 2013 of the first-degree murder of her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander, who was killed in his Phoenix home in 2008. According to medical examiners, Arias stabbed him 27 times, primarily in the back, torso and heart. She also slit Alexander's throat from ear to ear, nearly decapitating him, and shot him in the face before she dragged his bloodied corpse to the shower.

Although Arias was convicted of murder, the jurors failed to reach a unanimous decision on her sentencing. As a result, her retrial is slated to begin on Sept. 29 to determine whether she should be sentenced to death, life in prison or life with a chance of release after serving 25 years.

Now, the 34-year-old waitress is selling the pair of glasses that she wore during her trial online.

Bidding on the glasses began on JodiArias.com on Sunday, Sept. 14, starting at $500. The auction is scheduled to end on Sept. 24.

According to the website, 100 percent of the proceeds will go toward an unidentified Phoenix-based nonprofit.

"Get ready to own a one-of-a-kind piece of history," the site also states.

The judge presiding over Arias' upcoming penalty phase retrial is mulling over a motion for less restrictive television news coverage, despite Arias' objection to allowing television news coverage of her upcoming sentencing retrial on the grounds that it will hurt her chances to get a fair trial.

An attorney representing local television stations filed a motion seeking to allow limited TV coverage to be aired 30 minutes after court ends during each day of the trial.

On Monday, Judge Sherry Stephens took the arguments on "the media motion under advisement," tweeted the Maricopa County Court on Monday.

The judge also granted Arias' motion to discontinue serving as her own lawyer and reappointed her attorneys KirkNurmi and Jennifer Willmott to resume her defense, reports HLN-TV.
