The X Factor Season 3 is already on its way, and on its premiere week it has featured some promising stars and Simon's singing prowess.

Last night's premiere episode of the Fox reality singing competition failed to impressive, slipping 17% from last season's first episode, reports Entertainment Wise. However, viewers can't deny that this season sure has a wide range of talents - spanning different ages and different musical genres.

Tonight's episode seemed to have leaned towards showcasing talents than highlighting the comedic mediocre ones. Several artists received four yeses, and some even had the judges on their feet. But the most memorable moment in tonight's show was Simon Cowell belting out "Fools Rush In." Yup, you read that right! But we'll get into that in a little while. First, the contestants that made a mark.

29-year-old Rachel from Nashville entertained the entire audition theatre that the judges made her finish her entire audition piece, "Somebody to Love" by the Queen. The country singer hopeful even managed to make judge Kelly Rowland dance. In the end, Rachel received four yeses, with Rowland telling her that "the industry is ready for you."

Jorge Pena may be the most memorable of the night. The Latin ice cream vendor was too arrogant that he ticked off the judges. "My Latin charm is all I'll ever need on stage," he said before stepping on the stage. The 22-year-old Colombian sang a Latin song that made all four judges say yes, but that was after taking strict warnings from the judges.

"Never ever call me 'woman' again," Demi Lovato told Jorge, after he told the young judge to "tell me woman." Judge Paulina Rubio also told him to stop acting like a star because he still isn't one. Of course, Simon had a different take on the singer, telling him that they're like brothers.

Al Calderon, a restaurant host, also made the judges swoon with his rendition of "Sara Smile." The 19-year-old, who could very well be the next Justin Bieber, received four yeses. Simon even told him that "the music business is waiting for someone like you right now."

And of course, what everybody has been waiting for - after much teasing from Fox, they finally show Simon Cowell singing on the show!

It started with a failed audition from a 56-year-old trade broker. Demi Lovato noted that the singer sounded like Simon had he only have a British accent. Rowland then took the mic from the auditioner and egged Cowell to sing. In a mocking way (or was it?), Simon sang "Fools Rush In" much like how the 56-year-old sang his piece. Check the clip below:

The X Factor USA will air every Wednesday and Thursday at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
