Ray J and Kim Kardashian will forever be tied to each other, and years later the singer has opened up about how he feels about their sex tape.

"I personally don't think that's a road anybody should go down," he said. "I don't applaud myself for anything in the world. I've grown from it and I've learned from it. But, at the same time, I don't applaud myself for it."

During a HuffPost Live chat, Ray J talked about "Love & Hip Hop." He said that he didn't think that Kim Kardashian's celebrity came from the sex tape.

"Nope. God did that," he said. "I just leave it alone. God made all the success happen. When people say, 'You put this person on,' listen: God did that."

In the same interview, he got emotional talking about Joan Rivers. He was shown a clip of Joan Rivers talking about him.

He got a teary eyed and explained that the two just recently collaborated.

Ray J recently pleaded no contest to touching a woman without permission and damaging police property, notes CNN.

"After the uniform police officers took Mr. Norwood into custody and placed him in the rear of a police vehicle, he became belligerent and used his feet to shatter the side window of the police vehicle," said a police statement. "Mr. Norwood was subsequently removed from the police vehicle in order to restrain his feet; at which time he became combative and spat into the face of one of the officers."

He was sentenced to three years of probation and 50 hours of community service for trespassing. On top of that, he has to attend alcohol therapy and anger management classes. He has been banned from the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel.

He was at the hotel's bar when he got into a fight and police were called.
