During a recent interview with The Daily Beast, John Travolta discussed his feelings towards his former employee Douglass Gotterba's decision to write a tell-all book about Travolta's life.

"This is every celebrity's Achilles heel. It's just about people wanting money. That's all. It happens on many levels," Travolta told The Daily Beast, adding "Also, I don't care that much about [those types of allegations]. Other people may attack it back more than I do, but I let all the media stuff go a long time ago because I can't control it. I think that's why it persists, to some degree."

According to The Huffington Post, Gotterba was also rumored to be Travolta's lover. These accusations eventually led to reports that the Golden Globe award-winning actor might be gay.

Although Travolta insists that he doesn't care "that much" about the rumored affair with Gotterba, he did express his anger towards the tabloids claiming that he also had an affair with his son's nanny Jeff Kathrein, who found Travolta's son dead in a hotel room while the Travolta family was vacationing in the Bahamas, THP reports.

At the time of his son Jett's death, media outlets such as Gawker claimed that Travolta had hired his alleged lover -- who had no previous childcare experience -- to take care of his autistic son.

"Did Travolta hire his unqualified gay lover to care for an ill child, who then died on the faux nanny's watch? If so, you won't read about it in the trashiest of Internet tabloids," the 2009 Gawker article reads.

It continued, "A TMZ.com story on the death of John Travolta's 16-year-old son, Jett, mentioned that he was found by family nanny Jeff Kathrein -- but it didn't run a famous picture of Travolta kissing Kathrein."

Travolta told TDB: "I found it most offensive with the loss of my son. I felt like that was the lowest I'd ever felt. Sex stuff is always going to be interesting to somebody, but you stay away from family. You really should. With that, I always felt like the media -- not all of the media, but parts of it -- went too low there."
