'The Vampire Diaries' Season 6 Spoilers: Stefan and Caroline's Friendship Will Be in Jeopardy
In wake of the premiere of Season 6 of "The Vampire Diaries" this fall, new spoilers suggest that Carolina won't stand a chance with Stefan.
Earlier this summer, it was revealed that Caroline will finally confess to Stefan that she has feelings for him early on in the new season, according to TV Guide.
"TVD" executive producer Caroline Dries also teased that Caroline and Stefan's relationship will be a major storyline. However, she added that there's no guarantee that Stefan will feel the same way as Caroline.
"She's going to realize it's a little more one-sided than she was hoping, and there's going to be some fallout from that," Dries told TVLine. "But just because one character doesn't like another character, that doesn't mean it's not a fascinating love story."
A new promo video also revealed that Stefan will hit the sheets with a hot new girl named Ivy, played by "Days of Our Lives" actress Emily C. Chang. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ivy is "the quintessential girl next door with an unexpected wild side."
In a recent interview with E!, showrunner Julie Plec dropped more spoilers about Caroline and Stefan, confirming that Caroline doesn't have a good shot with Stefan and that their friendship will also be in jeopardy.
"Caroline isn't going to let Stefan off the hook very easily. In fact, his determination to move on and start a new life after the loss of his brother may ultimately ruin the friendship he's built with her over the years."
On the other hand, Plec teased that Alaric's love life will spice up.
"Alaric is having a hard time reconciling his former self with his new vampire identity. And when he meets a fascinating and smart new woman, it makes it even more difficult," she said.
Season 6 of "The Vampire Diaries" will return to The CW on Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. EST.
