‘The Legend of Korra’ Book 4: 5 Things Teased by New Clip
And just as soon as the third season of “The Legend of Korra” came to an end, Nickelodeon has announced that book four will premiere on Oct. 3.
With a new clip released earlier in the week, there are a few hints as to what the fourth and final season of the show will look like.
Here are just five things that seem possible from the short clip.
1. Jinora will have a bigger role.
Jinora was one of the people saying goodbye to Korra. She was joined by her father, Asami, Bolin and Mako. It's also that the finale for book three showed Jinora getting her airbender tattoos. She has continued to be set up as the future of the Air Nation.
2. Something will happen at the Southern Water Tribe.
Everyone is worried about Korra's time away. Though Korra said that it'll only be for a few weeks and that time alone will do her good, it couldn't really be that simple. Korra is going to be vulnerable, and though she's joined by two powerful waterbenders, she always faces threats.
3. Korra will have to recover emotionally, as well as physically.
One part of the clip shows that Korra is having a nightmare. In her dreams, she sees Zaheer and the moment he tried to take her breath away. Korra is not only physically weak, but she'll have to deal with feelings of inadequacy.
4. The airbenders will not have everything under control.
Despite Tenzin's assurance that the airbenders will fill in for the avatar, it is clear that this world needs the avatar to maintain balance. So while the air nomads will try to restore order in the aftermath of the Red Lotus, eventually, things will get to the point where they will be overwhelmed.
5. Korra will go through a transformation.
This isn't necessarily in the video, but it's expected. Nickelodeon shared a picture of Korra with shorter hair and looking healthier, meaning that she'll have some sort of transformation.
