Bow Wow has proposed to his girlfriend, Erica Mena, after six months of dating.

The "CSI: Cyber" star shared a picture of the ring he got Mena, of "Love & Hip Hop New York," on Instagram.

Before the image was posted onto social media, Mena revealed that she and Bow Wow, whose real name is Shad Moss, were engaged. At the BET Awards on Sept. 20, Mena, 27, was asked about her boyfriend, notes Us Weekly.

"Uh...he's actually my fiance!" she said.

The two met when Mena stopped by "106 & Park." Bow Wow, who hosts the show, and Mena shared a kiss on the couch, and began dating after that.

Complex adds that the duo's relationship has been relatively private.

It is seemingly a good year for Bow Wow, who earned a role "CSI: Cyber" as a regular.

The show, which is inspired by Mary Aiken, a cyberpsychologist, will have Bow Wow playing a hacker named Brody "Baby Face" Nelson, notes Deadline. Nelson, who is almost 20, has been ordered by a judge to work with Special Agent Avery Ryan or go to jail.

Nelson became skilled at hacking after joining a "hacktivist" group as a child.

"Bow Wow is a gifted young actor who will have the responsibility, through his character, to set an example for young people who watch the show to 'do what's right' even when you know 'nothing but wrong,'" CSI creator Anthony E. Zuiker said. "It will be a redemption story and a cautionary tale all wrapped into one. The role of Nelson required someone with deep acting chops and off the charts smarts. Shad Moss is a unique talent that possesses both."

Bow Wow has also been sharing images from the set of the show.

In one picture, the 27-year-old actor poses in a blue shirt.
