Week number two of the 2013 NFL season and the games just keep on getting better.

Last night's Sunday Night Football, was packed with great matches and close calls. A number of the 14 matches played last night were decided on the last seconds of the games, keeping everyone at the edge of their seats - and this is exactly why Sunday Night Football is an American tradition.

Here are a few of the outstanding games of last night (Sept. 16).

San Diego Chargers vs. Philadelphia Eagles, 33-30

Both dropping to 1-1, the Chargers gave Philly a disappointing loss after they edged out the Eagles, 33-30. Philip Rivers led San Diego with 419 yards and 3 completed TDs, eclipsing Michael Vick's career-high 428 yards plus his two touchdowns.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Kansas City Chiefs, 16-17

The Cowboys looked like they were ready to head to the Superbowl in their last match against the New York Giants, but the Chiefs cut their happiness short after serving them a devastating loss, 17-16.

According to NFL.com, this is the third 2-0 start of KC since 2005, and coach Andy Reid's first home win as Chiefs new coach.

Alex Smith threw 223 yards and completed 2 touchdowns, while Tony Romo failed to give the Cowboys a boost with only 1 completed TD.

Carolina Panthers vs. Buffalo Bills, 23-24

The Panthers drop to 2-0 after losing by just a point to the Bills. It was Buffalo's second half surge, scoring 11 and 10 against 7 and 9 by the Panthers that gave them the game. EJ Manuel led passers with 296 yards, 1 TD and 1 interception.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Chicago Bears, 30-31

The Bears stay unbeaten this season with a slim win against the Vikings, 31-30. Jay Cutler, who had 3 TDs and 2 interceptions, led the team as the Vikings drop 0-2.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Seattle Seahawks, 03-29

Colin Kaepernick's efforts were all for nothing as the 49ers fell to a devastating loss against the Seahawks. Kaepernick only had 127 yards and 3 interceptions with no completed touchdowns, while Russell Wilson had 142 yards, 1 TD and 1 interception.
