iPhone 6 Plus Bending & #BendGate: Does Apple's Largest Phone Pass the Skinny Jeans Test? [Watch]
Do you wear skinny jeans or tight pants? Do you have an iPhone 6 Plus? If you answered yes to both of those questions, you might want to be extra careful with your new phone when putting it in your pocket.
Some iPhone 6 Plus users are finding out the hard way that tight pants and their new futuristic smartphone do not get along very well. These tight pants are causing the iPhone 6 Plus to bend -- and it's not supposed to be able to bend.
Tweets and Internet posts started coming out earlier this week that showed iPhone 6 Plus owners displaying their frustration as well as their photos of their bent devices. One person said he left his iPhone 6 Plus in his suit pants during a wedding. When he took it out, he noticed it was slightly bent.
It seems that these users are not sitting on top of their iPhone 6 Plus phones but these bent devices are a result of storing their phones in their front pocket.
One can assume that the tighter the pants are the easier the phone will bend. The phone is made out of aluminum and plastic so it is not that surprising that the phone could bend. But, just through normal storage of it in your pocket? Should that happen? It will be interesting to see if Apple will respond to this or offer any refunds or fixes for these now-damaged iPhone 6 Plus phones.
If you own an iPhone 6 Plus, you should also own cargo pants. #BendGate

It's not exactly fair to ask owners of a device to alter their wardrobes just to carry their phones, especially women who tend to wear tighter clothing than men.
Love the apologists saying “well duh, just don’t put your iPhone in your pocket!” What, am I supposed to buy a purse? #bendgate

If this continues, Apple is going to need to address it or create an immediate fix. The iPhone 6 Plus was certainly a long-awaited model and its big screen attracted many new buyers. If this model is plagued with problems, then Apple should recall it and fix the issue before selling any more devices.
