The newest Android update could be called Lemon Meringue Pie and it could be coming out Nov. 1. (The name seems weird, but Android did call its past update KitKat.)

"While Android L and new Nexus hardware will be shown off in mid-October, the final version of Android L won't officially be available until November 1st, according to our sources," Android Authority said

This news of a new update for the Android operating system comes in tandem with the anticipated release of a new Nexus tablet.

"Either way, the wait for Android L and the next generation of the Nexus family appears to almost be over!" Android Authority said.

The next Nexus tablet will be the Nexus 8 or 9 and it is likely going to come from HTC. It will be likely 9 inches in size, and more than likely it will come with the newest Android update. Right now the Android update is being called Android L, but it probably will get a funny name like the last version (KitKat).

The cost of the next Nexus tablet is rumored to be $399.

As we reported in our last Android L update, the next update of the Android OS is going to be quite different. It will include a lot of new visuals including shadows and better animations. Even some 3-D effects will be included in the update.

Android TV: Well, Google TV was not as successful as Google planned, so the company is trying again and this time it will be called Android TV.

The Android TV looks like it is going to be a great companion to your wearable device or Android Smartphone. Stay tuned for more information on Android TV.
