'The Bachelor' Juan Pablo Galavis Reportedly on 'Couples Therapy' for the $50K, Not Nikki Ferrell
VH1's "Couples Therapy" is supposed to be about helping celebrity couples solve their problems, but according to a new source, one half of "The Bachelor" couple Juan Pablo Galavis and Nikki Ferrell is only on the show for money.
Life & Style reports that Ferrell agreed to be on the show because she wants to "work things out" with Galavis. A source described only as a friend of Ferrell says that the former Bachelor, on the other hand, is only doing the show for the paycheck.
"They each got $50,000 to be on 'Couples Therapy,' so, of course, that's why Juan Pablo wanted to do it," the source said. "They also just came back from an all-expenses-paid trip to Bali -- something that wouldn't have happened if Juan Pablo wasn't still with Nikki."
In addition, the anonymous source claims that Ferrell's friends are sick of the controversial Venezuelan reality star.
"Everyone thinks she should just dump him already," the source explained.
According to the source, the pair's long distance relationship (Galavis lives in Miami, and Ferrell lives in Kansas City, Missouri) is not sustainable
"Their relationship is exhausting and like an emotional roller coaster for everyone," the source continued. "Plus, they only see each other about once a month."
Recently, Ferrell told Boston Herald that they were "approached by VH1" to be on the show.
"Long distance isn't easy," she said. "Also, there was, and still is, a spotlight on our relationship. I wasn't used to having to handle that. ... I actually deactivated my Twitter just so I wouldn't have to deal with people hiding behind their computers, talking s**t. I feel like it's the best decision not only for myself, but for my relationship."
"Couples Therapy" airs Wednesdays at 9/8c.
