As we enter the fifth week of the 2014 NFL season, Fantasy Football owners are searching for free agents to pick up from the waiver wire.

Week 5 of the 2014 National Football League season is set to begin this Thursday Night with the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers facing off. For Fantasy Football owners, the waiver wire is extremely important because you never know when you must pickup key free agents.

Here are five waiver wire players you should consider selecting in your league:

1. Larry Donnell

The New York Giants dominated the Washington Redskins on Thursday Night Football 45-17. Tight end Larry Donnell stole the show with three touchdown receptions in the game, outscoring the entire Redskins team by himself. Donnell is an undrafted player who entered this season with zero touchdowns in his first two seasons. Donnell has four touchdowns in first four games including 236 receiving yards so far. Who would have thought Donnell would have been a great Fantasy Football pickup?

2. Brian Quick

Since being drafted in the second round by the St. Louis Rams in 2010, Brian Quick hasn't exactly impressed many. In 2012, Quick had 156 receiving yards and last season he had just 302 yards through the air. So far after three games in 2014, Quick has 235 yards and a touchdown including a 99-yard performance against the Minnesota Vikings. The Rams are going to need Quick to play like he did at Appalachian State with all the quarterback issues they're going through.

3. Devin Hester

Devin Hester is (statistically) the greatest special teams returner in NFL history. For years, this man has beaten teams with exciting punt and kick returns for touchdowns with the Chicago Bears and Atlanta Falcons. Hester can also be a somewhat effective receiver, so if you're having receiver issues, you may to pick him up. In Week 1 against the New Orleans Saints, Hester had 99 yards receiving. Hester and the Falcons face the New York Giants in Week 5.

4. Teddy Bridgewater

This is a huge risk, but it might pay off. In Week 4 against the Atlanta Falcons, Bridgewater threw for 317 yards on 19-30 passing. Bridgewater is also a first round draft pick after a great college career at Louisville. So what's the risk? Bridgewater is still inexperienced at the NFL level, and in Week 5, he will be facing the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field on Thursday Night Football. The Vikings won't have to go into freezing cold Green Bay in December, but the Packers defense isn't elite. There's a very good chance Bridgewater is available in your league.

5. Kelvin Benjamin

What a great start to a promising career.

The Carolina Panthers drafted Benjamin in the first round to fill the Steve Smith and Brandon LaFell void and Benjamin has stepped up. The 23-year-old wide receiver has an outstanding 329 yards so far in his first four games, including three touchdowns. Benjamin has also caught at least eight balls in every single game so far. In Week 5, the Panthers host the Chicago Bears and their poor pass defense. Benjamin could be a Fantasy Football stud in Week 5.
