Warner Bros. revealed new stills for "Annabelle," the prequel to "The Conjuring," which has a release date of Oct. 3, and the much-anticipated, New Line Cinema supernatural thriller is sure to conjure some serious fear and fright. You may never want to venture down into your dark basement!

In one of the eerie stills, actress Annabelle Harris, who plays housewife and mother Mia, shines a flashlight on an old-fashioned, black baby carriage. What's inside? Could it be the demonic possessed doll known as the infamous Annabelle? Stay tuned!

In other stills released, actor Tony Amendola, who plays Father Perez, appears to be concerned and extremely frightened as he has Annabelle in his arms. Will Annabelle possess Father Perez? Who knows what evil she is capable of!

In another scene, Oscar nominee Alfre Woodard ("Cross Creek," "Twelve Years a Slave"), who plays Evelyn, a bookstore owner who is knowledgeable about the occult, tries to help Mia (Harris) gain insight into Annabelle's demonic world.

In "Annabelle," John Form (played by Ward Horton who starred in "The Wolf of Wall Street") gives his expectant wife, Mia, a beautiful, rare vintage doll in a pure-white wedding dress. But Mia's affection for Annabelle doesn't last long.

On one ill-fated night, their home is invaded by members of a satanic cult, who violently attack the couple. While they survive the brutal attack, the cultists have conjured a wicked entity, a "sinister conduit" -- Annabelle.

In addition to Amendola, Wallis, Horton and Woodard, other members of the cast include Kerry O'Malley (TV's "Those Who Kill") and Brian Howe ("Devil's Knot") as neighbors Sharon and Pete Higgins, and Eric Ladin (TV's "Boardwalk Empire,") as Detective Clarkin.

"Annabelle" reunites the filmmakers behind 2013's hugely successful supernatural thriller "The Conjuring." James Wan, the director of "The Conjuring," produced "Annabelle" with Peter Safran. John R. Leonetti, "The Conjuring" cinematographer, took the reins this time to direct "Annabelle."
