Selena Gomez & Justin Bieber Relationship: 'Come & Get It' Singer Ditching BFF Taylor Swift for Ex-Boyfriend?
The friendship between Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift is seemingly falling apart, as the former is currently inseparable with on-and-off boyfriend Justin Bieber after their recent reconciliation.
According to Hollywood Life, Gomez believes that no one can compete with Bieber when it comes to a true relationship. "Despite Justin's flirtations with other girls, Selena still feels like Justin is a truer friend than almost anymore else she knows," a source claimed. "She feels like most of her celebrity friends are not legitimate. Justin makes her feel important."
While the "Come & Get It" singer pretty much thinks that she is maintaining fake friendship with most of her "friends," her so-called bestie is not helping change her mind either - the Taylor Swift is apparently too busy with her life and has not been supportive of her. "Taylor is off and on and in her own world," the source continued. "She's friendly with Selena when it's convenient for her."
Moreover, it has actually been quite a while since Gomez and Swift last saw each other, and Swift famously does not approve of Gomez's relationship with the Canadian pop star. "They rarely see each other. Plus, every five minutes, Taylor ends up getting upset with Selena over Justin. They are more like acquaintances with similar interests than besties."
The latest claim follows Taylor Swift's statement about her friendship with Selena Gomez back in May. "It's been the longest one I think either of us had really," she told E! News. "When your life changes and you become thrust into this really strange whirlwind where what your life is different from what other people think your life is. And your life is commented on and your life is written about and fictionalized and all that."
"Both of us have kind of stuck it out and hung in there through all the different changes we've gone through," she added. "Longevity is something you really can find very precious and rare in friendships," she added.
