Kris Jenner recently opened up in a new interview about her role as the Kardashian matriarch.

In a sit-down interview on "Beyond Candid With Giuliana," Jenner talked about her family with E! host Giuliana Rancic -- specifically about how people criticize the kind of mother she is.

"As hurtful as it might be, no one knows what's going on," Jenner said. "When someone starts criticizing your role and your ability to be a good mom, I prided myself my entire life ... my most important role in my life is being a mom. There's nothing I wouldn't do for my kids."

She also said that when they first started being on reality TV, she told her children to stay away from the Internet, as all they would find is harsh words.

She also slams publications, which she said make up "99.9% of the stuff."

"At some point, you can't control what really ignorant, nasty people are going to say about a family that they know really nothing about personally," she said.

The interview featured Jenner sitting on a chair with Rancic, but then it switched to Jenner in the kitchen preparing dinner. She said that Rob Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, North West and Kanye West would be among the guests for the night.

Rancic asked if Jenner treated her only son any differently, and Jenner explained that all of her daughters make fun of her for babying him.

Jenner got teary-eyed after talking about her ex-husband, Robert Kardashian.

She thought that, though he had cancer, he was going to make it through. Instead, he was gone in eight weeks, and the pain still felt fresh for her.

She said that his death was "probably the worst thing that I've ever been through, and to watch my kids have to suffer through it was a horrible, a horrible experience."
