Apple MacBook Pro 13- and 15-Inch Review: Price, Specs, Pros and Cons
Thinking about getting an Apple Mac Pro 13? Here's what you need to know before making your purchase.
The Good:
The Apple MacBook Pro has evolved into its third generation now, and with some significant change in its look and feel. The signature Unibody built of single aluminium block is now lighter.
The new processor is comprised of IvyBridge chips. The integrated graphics is excellent with unmatched screen resolution. Plus, rhe USB port has been upgraded to 3.0.
The Bad:
Even with the introduction of new processor the boost up in processor speed is only 0.1 GHz which is a major disappointment. The improvement in the integrated graphics did very little to the poor discreet graphics. The hard drives are still slow like the previous generations, and the upgrade option is fairly limited. The battery life is not really something to look forward to.
Specs:
The processor is 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5 with a turbo boost up to 3.1 GHz. The RAM size is 4GB, extendable up to 8GB, and the hard disk is 500GB. The graphics card is Intel HD 5000 GPU.
There is a front camera introduced in this laptop for video chats, which should look clear on the stunning display with a 2560x1600 resolution on the 13-Inch screen. There is a 2880x1800 resolution on the 15-inch version of the MacBook Pro.
The Macbook Pro features up to seven hours of battery backup.
Prices:
As stated by the official Apple site, the present MacBook Pro with 13-inch screen is priced as $1099, compared to the 15-inch screen at $2600.
Conclusion:
The glamour effect of having an Apple MacBook probably won't die anytime soon. Plus, many of those who use Macintosh products say they could no longer get accustomed to any other operating systems. So with a little progress here and there, Apple's signature laptop continues to be a popular, comfortable choice.
