We've come to expect Minecraft to be capable of recreating just about anything. After all, teams are working on building an exhibit-for-exhibit replica of a London museum and the entire world from Game of Thrones. Minecraft users have already built a 1:1 replica of the entire country of Denmark and a functioning 16-bit computer.

But even though Minecraft can recreate just about anything, it appears that it is unable to capture the essence of the original, according to a report from GameSpot.

Recently, one Minecraft user recreated a playable teaser from the upcoming game Silent Hills, but the Minecraft version couldn't conjure the horror of the actual trailer.

The Minecraft version of the P.T. comes full with a replica of the demo's house floor plan, doors that open and close by themselves, shadowy figures and the now infamous loop.

"P.T. in Minecraft is unintentionally funny," GameSpot said. "Barnyard animal bellows don't quite make the blood curdle, and the angular ghost is something I'd rather hug than flee from."

It seems the simplicity of Minecraft graphics aren't exactly scary. Many reports on the playable teaser claim it is terrifying, but you can decide for yourself here.

The Silent Hills teaser was released earlier this year during Sony's Gamescom conference and announced the next Silent Hill game for the PlayStation 4, which does not yet have an official release date.

The game is being developed by Konami and involves Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima and horror filmmaker Guillermo del Toro, of Pan's Labyrinth and Hellboy fame. Actor Norman Reedus of The Walking Dead is one of the stars of the game, according to IGN.

Now, back to Minecraft. The Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game were released last month and feature worlds that are 36-times bigger than on previous consoles. Users can upgrade to the new versions for $4.99 or buy it for the first time for $19.99
