Madden 15 Updates and Gameplay: Player Ratings to Watch for in Advance to Thursday Night Football
Arian Foster said he doens't like to play on Thursday Night Football, but Thursday's battle with the Indianapolis Colts might be a game he should be looking forward to. That's because it is for the soul control of the AFC South.
"It's annoying for players," Foster said. "I don't know one player that likes it. I really don't know a fan that likes it, either. I think it's just the league's way of trying to generate more revenue."
Let's take a look at how the dreaded matchup (for Foster) could affect player ratings in Madden NFL 15.
The best place to start is of course with Foster. The running back is second in the league with 102.0 yards per game and already has 404 yards.
Going into Thursday night's game, Foster is rated at a 90 overall rating (OVR). This is the last roster update that occurred last Friday. Since that update, Foster had a great game against the Dallas Cowboys (157 yards, 2 touchdowns, 6.8 yards per carry). The Texans did fall in overtime to those Cowboys though.
Surely Foster will be relied upon heavily Thursday too.
With Foster's performance last week, he could be boosted up to a 91 or 92 OVR rating. His performance tonight likely will not play into the ratings that come out Friday morning.
On the Colts side of the ball, Andrew Luck is the player to watch tonight. He already has 14 touchdowns in 5 games and looks like the NFL's top quarterback, behind Payton Manning of course. Luck comes in at a 90 OVR. He was an 89 in the week 4 roster update. After week 5's win over the Ravens in which Luck threw for 312 yards but only one touchdown, he likely will not be bumped up any higher than a 90. However, if he keeps doing well (especially tonight), the week 7 roster update could see him as high as a 93.
