Popular rapper and reality TV star, Waka Flocka Flame, was arrested in Atlanta for carrying a loaded weapon into an airport. TSA workers discovered the gun inside one of his bags.

On Friday, the rapper was passing set to board a plane at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport; however, police detained him after the TSA found a loaded firearm inside his carry-on bag, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Waka Flocka, 28, whose real name is Juaquin James Malphurs, did not posses a gun permit, police said, and he was arrested and charged with carrying a weapon in a prohibited space.

Following his arrest, he was taken to Clayton County Jail and held for three hours until he was released on bail later Friday afternoon.

According to TMZ, the TSA posted on their Instagram account a picture of the weapon seized, a handgun, along with the ammunition. They did not specify it belonged to the rapper.

The rapper’s representative, Debra Antney, told TMZ that there had been a mix up and the bag belonged to the rapper’s fiancée. The couple is currently moving and grabbed the bag by accident, she told the site.

Despite the arrest, Waka Flocka Flame will continue his shows and will play Saturday night in Albany, New York, according to a tweet sent Saturday.
