Fantasy Football 2014 Rankings, Sleepers & Week 7 Waiver Wire: Top 5 NFL Players to Pick Up This Week
The 2014 NFL season is already six weeks complete, and Week 7 begins on Thursday night with the New York Jets and New England Patriots facing each other.
With so many great players out there putting up high Fantasy Football numbers, it's important to add depth to your roster.
Here are five waiver wire players to consider for Week 7:
1. Mohamed Sanu
Mohamed Sanu had a terrific game for the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 7 against the Carolina Panthers. The 25-year-old wide receiver caught 11 balls for 120 yards and a touchdown. He definitely stepped up filling in for A. J. Green, who missed the game because of an injury. Sanu has also been a great player for the Bengals this season as well. Overall this year, Sanu has 28 catches for 354 yards. Expect quarterback Andy Dalton to throw his way more. The Bengals face the Indianapolis Colts next week.
2. Andre Holmes
The Oakland Raiders may be 0-5, but wide receiver Andre Holmes has been a bright spot on this horrific football team. The Raiders nearly defeated the San Diego Chargers thanks to Holmes and his 121 yards and two touchdowns through the air. Although undrafted, this tall 6-foot-5 wide out has 29 catches this year for 269 yards. If you're hurting at wide receiver, he could be worth the addition.
3. Ronnie Hillman
With Montee Ball injured and Knowshon Moreno no longer in Denver, Peyton Manning needs somebody to hand the ball off to. Hillman is a small speedy back who had a terrific game against the New York Jets, especially considering it was his first career start. Hillman had 116 total yards in his starting debut. With opposing defenses focusing so much on Manning, Hillman should get his chances.
4. Malcom Floyd
Malcom Floyd has had a pretty underrated career. Floyd has been on the Chargers since 2004 and is coming off a terrible 2013 season in which he only played two games. So far this season Floyd has 362 yards, and one of the highest yards per catch average with 21.3. In his last game against the Raiders, Floyd had 103 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Philip Rivers will continue to find a way to get him the ball. In Week 7, the Chargers host the Kansas City Chiefs in an AFC West game.
5. Justin Forsett
What a great season Justin Forsett is having for the Baltimore Ravens so far. With Ray Rice out, Forsett has stepped up for the Ravens rushing attack. His best performance came last week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, when he ran for 111 yards on just 14 carries. Forsett ranks fifth overall in the NFL with 408 rushing yards ahead of notable running backs like Marshawn Lynch, Frank Gore and Alfred Morris. The Ravens face the Atlanta Falcons next week.
