The excitement of "Mario Kart 8" has not ended despite the fact that the game has been out for months. That is because when Link from Zelda appears in the game next month, he will have his own motorcycle.

The news was first leaked by Nintendo of America's Twitter account (@NintendoAmerica). Check out the picture:

Link will become a character in Wii U's "Mario Kart 8" next month when a new DLC (downloadable content) pack is released. This DLC will also add eight new courses, three new characters and four new vehicles.

Joining Link will be Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach. These variations of Mario and Peach will just add more variety to the plethora of characters and fun given to "Mario Kart 8."

If a gamer pre-orders the DLC, they will see a Triforce icon in the Grand Prix menu. This could mean that Zelda-inspired courses and circuits are coming along with this DLC.

It's only fair that Link gets his own courses and circuit -- Yoshi got Yoshi's Valley and his own bike (the Yoshi Bike).

The only thing that seems a little out of sorts is Link using a machine from the 2000's when Link probably did not have those types of machines when he lived in Zelda. Or is Link still alive after all these years? Either way, Link is getting his own bike, his own courses and probably his own circuit. Let's give the guy the same respect we give Yoshi.
