A very close Thursday Night Football game between the Patriots and the Jets started off Week 7 in the NFL. The Patriots came up on top, and Tom Brady looked excellent.

Let's take a look at the Week 7 player ratings updates for Madden NFL 15 that were just recently released.

Brady's performance last night against the Jets shows the league and Madden 15 that he is still a top 5 quarterback. He may have struggled early on this season, but he is still going to put his team in position to win and throw for a few touchdowns every game.

Brady is currently rated at a 91 overall (OVR). This is probably a fair rating for him. In Week 5, he was at a 90, and then Week 6 he was bumped up to a 91. If he shreds the Bears on Oct. 26, he could go up to a 93, for now though he should stay at a 91.

On the other sideline, Geno Smith has not looked good for the New York Jets. His inexperience and questionable decisions have caused his team to suffer. In Week 5, Smith was at a 75. In Week 6, he went to a 73. After Thursday night, he could go down even further, perhaps to a 70.

Sunday's meetings are interesting for several key players. Green Bay Packers' Aaron Rodgers faces a tough test against the Carolina Panthers. Rodgers has looked excellent these past three weeks, but Carolina's defense could give him trouble. Rodgers is at a 98 OVR -- he can only gain one more point. If he has a performance like he did against Miami, he might hit that 99 rating.
