Aldo Sarabia Garcia of Banda El Recodo Missing Following Death of Former Member Carlos 'Jokoky' Soto Beltran
One of the members of Banda El Recodo has been reported missing.
Aldo Sarabia Garcia was last seen on Oct. 13 in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, according to TV Notas.
The band and its fan have taken to Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for information on Garcia. Those who learn anything are supposed to contact the offices of the band.
Fans and friends have also come out to pray for Garcia's safe return.
Artist Luis Antonio Lopez was just one of the people who posted about Garcia on social media.
"Prayer so that Aldo Sarabia reappears soon," he said. "My Aldo, like I tell you, GOD is great. I know you are an excellent person to be going through this."
Jessica Maldonado, a host on "El Gordo y La Flaca," also posted about Garcia, where she tried to pass on important information on what to do if he is seen.
The band also posted a message on its Facebook page, where it explained that it had never dealt with something like this before. The message called Garcia an "exemplary human and artist" and said it never imagined that something like this could happen.
The group went on to perform on Oct. 17, but shared a picture that showed that Garcia was not out of everyone's minds.
His disappearance comes on the heels of bad news for the band.
A few days ago one of its former members, Carlos Soto Beltran, died after his fight with leukemia. Jokoky, as he was also known, was in the hospital since Jan. 24 when his illness was first discovered.
The group also shared its condolences for Jokoky on its Facebook page.
"We unite in the sorrow that the Soto Beltran family embarks on after the death of Carlos Soto Beltran 'Jokoky,' who was a musician from Banda El Recodo for many years," the message said. "He was recognized for his unique style of playing the tuba, which revolutionized our sound, and an example of that is the song 'Los Viejitos.'"
