During a recent interview with the Europa Press, Shakira opened up about being pregnant with her second child and her desire to continue expanding her family.

The 37-year-old mother of one explained that she plans to "dedicate myself to taking care of my belly, my pregnancy, [and] of Milan," her toddler son.

In addition to focusing on her pregnancy and her son, the "Hips Don't Lie" singer also revealed her wish to work on a new album following the birth of her second child.

"Next year, I think after the baby is born, I'll start producing my new album. A Spanish album, which is what has me most excited right now," she said.

According to E! News, Shakira first announced her pregnancy with a second child to the Spanish edition of Cosmopolitan magazine back in August.

A few weeks later, Shakira's mother, Nidia Ripoll spilled the beans on the second baby's gender.

"It's another baby boy," Ripoll said to Hola, according to E! News.

Shakira is so excited about her second baby boy that she admitted that she alreadys wants to continue expanding her family and eventually add a baby girl to the Ripoll-Pique clan.

"With Gerard [Piqué] I'd have 20 children, but I don't think I'll have the luxury to do it," she said. "For now we're going for the second one, we'll see what happens. We'll see if one day we get a girl. We'll see!"

Despite her eagerness to have children, Shakira is no rush to tie the knot with Pique, her beau of four years During her exclusive interview for Glam Belleza Latina's summer issue, Shakira explained that because the love, family, and bond that she shares with Pique is already strong, she is in no rush to walk down the aisle.

"But if I'm ever going to get married, he's the one," she said.
