The 2014 CONCACAF Women's championship is underway and with a spot in the 2015 FIFA World Cup at stake, Jamaica and Mexico are scheduled to play one another on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. EST at RFK Stadium.

CONCACAF is the North American regional soccer division. The top three teams from this tournament will play in the 2015 World Cup. Canada, the host country, qualifies automatically.

Although the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup isn't scheduled to begin until June of next year, this serves as the qualifying round for many North American nations. Latin Post.com previews the game and teams, as well as predicts the winner:

Mexico

The Mexican women failed to qualify past group play in the 2011 World Cup thanks to Japan and England. Head coach Leonardo Cuéllar has been coaching this team since 1998. Mexico comes in ranked No. 25 overall in the FIFA rankings.

So far in this tournament, Mexico has one win and one loss. In Mexico's first game, they lost a nail bitter to Costa Rica 1-0. Mexico's victory was a 10-0 beat-down to Martinique in their second Group B game. Now 1-1, Mexico will be taking on the Jamaican National Team, who is also 1-1.

Luz Duarte leads this Mexican offense, having already scored two goals in this tournament. With Costa Rica having clinched the top seed in Group B, this is a must-win for both teams. Starting goalkeeper Pamela Tajonar has been playing well so far, allowing just one goal in two games and earning a shutout. Thanks to Mexico's strong defense, Tajonar only had to face two shots in their 10-0 rout of Martinique.

Jamaica

The Jamaican Women's National Team is currently ranked No. 71 in the world. They know the odds are stacked against them, but this isn't an impossible feat. Similar to Mexico, Jamaica has a win over Martinique and a loss against Costa Rica. Merron Gordon is the head coach of this squad, and he knows it's win-or-go-home if they want a chance to compete in the 2015 FIFA World Cup.

Jamaica has a strong defense led by team captain Alicia Wilson, and starting goalkeeper Nicole McClure can certainly hold her own between the pipes as well. This could be the first time the Jamaican women qualify for the World Cup, which will be played in Canada.

Jamaica benefits a lot from their middle fielders. Two of their leading scorers, Christina Murray and Donna-Kay Henry, have two goals so far this tournament. Shakira Duncan has been the best offensive player for Jamaica, also having scored two goals.

The winner of this game will be the runner-up of Group B. The runner-up of Group B will then face the United States in the knockout stage.

Schedule, Where to Watch

Jamaica and Mexico are scheduled to play one another on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 7:30 p.m. EST at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C on Fox Sports 1. Live scores of the games can be seen here.

Predictions

Both of these teams are defensive oriented clubs, so it's unlikely we will see a high scoring game. Mexico has an edge in experience and a slight advantage in defense, thus limiting shots on goal. Jamaica does have a very good defensive unit that can't be overlooked.

Mexico wins 3-2
