Kate Middleton Makes First Public Appearance Since New Baby Announcement
Kate Middleton made her first appearance since the royal family announced their second baby is on the way.
She attended the 50th Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition at the Natural History Museum in London Tuesday. Her baby bump peeked through Middleton's blue Jenny Packham long gown as she posed for photographers and presented awards to finalists.
The Duchess of Cambridge made another appearance earlier in the day to welcome the President of the Republic of Singapore and his wife, Mary at the London's Royal Garden Hotel. She and Prince Williams joined the couple as they went to the Horse Guards Parade for an official welcome.
Early in her pregnancy, she suffered from severe nausea and vomiting which forced her to cancel previous events and announce the pregnancy. According to Vanity Fair, Kate looked pleased to get out of the house and back in the spotlight.
Because of her sickness, she lost a lot of weight and has spent the past week at the Middleton's country home trying to gain it back.
This is the second time Kate Middleton is suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, the sickness that caused her severe vomiting and massive weight loss. This condition usually occurs when a mother is carrying more than one baby. She suffered from acute pregnancy with Prince George early and gave birth in July 2013 even though many were hoping for royal twins.
Yet, she is still in her first trimester and had not shown a baby bump until her second trimester with Prince George. The bets for royal twins are up again.
The British Royal Family announced on Monday that their second baby will be due in April 2015. There are no reports of the sex of the baby. However, a British online betting company, Ladbrokes shows that there are many bets for a girl.
