Geneva Thomas Assaults 'Blood, Sweat, and Heels' Co-Star Melyssa Ford With Vodka Bottle
Following a cruise ship fight with a co-star and a bottle of alcohol, Bravo reality-TV star Geneva Thomas was arrested Tuesday for felony assault.
Thomas stars on the network's "Blood, Sweat and Heels," a show about six successful women in New York's real estate, fashion and media industries' most exclusive circles. According to Bravo.com's description, Thomas is a pop culture journalist.
She was aboard the Horn Blower Infinity tourist ship from Pier 40 near Hudson River Park, attending a party that was being filmed for the Bravo series.
With Thomas, 30, was her co-star and former model Melyssa Ford. Over the course of the party Tuesday evening, Ford and Thomas began arguing. Around 9:15 p.m., Thomas became belligerent and grabbed a bottle of Purity Vodka and hit Ford, 37, in the head with it, according to police statements Wednesday.
TMZ first reported the news, stating Thomas "got into an argument with another woman and her choice of weapon was a vodka bottle, which connected with the other lady's head."
The fight was broken up and Ford was taken to Lenox Hill Hospital, where she had to get three staples placed in her head to close the wound and reportedly had cuts on her feet from the broken glass.
Police sources said Thomas was charged with felony assault and arraignment was expected on Wednesday.
"Geneva [Thomas] has always had a vendetta against Melyssa [Ford]. It was a mess, I'm glad it wasn't worse!" a source said to the New York Post.
Ford was reportedly home in the Bronx recovering Wednesday.
Thomas has had recent trouble with the law for another incident. She was arrested in September for skipping out on NYC taxi cab fare.
A bystander passenger on the Horn Blower Infinity ship with the women captured part of the brawl on video and shared it via Instagram.
