NBA 2K15 Gameplay and Reviews: Release Date Has Passed, But Servers Still Glitchy
NBA 2K15 has not had a good debut. With server problems plaguing many gamers, 2K Sports is trying their hardest to resolve these issues.
Ronnie 2K who is a community manager on the forums has been trying to help those who cannot get online.
He recommended gamers just "restart their consoles." Sure, for some that worked, but not all.
To see if you are actually connected to NBA 2K15, you will see a logo that says "NBA 2KTV" in the main menu. All the other tabs too should be active and colored. If any of these tabs are greyed, that means you are playing NBA 2K15 offline.
"Looks like dev team was able to alleviate one cause of offline menu when connected online but one remains. They will continue to investigate"
At least 2K Sports is acknowledging these errors. It must be frustrating for these gamers to not be able to access the online features of NBA 2K15.
The problem with 2K Sports having this issues is the upcoming release of NBA Live 15. NBA Live 15 was delayed until Oct. 28. This is probably a good thing that they refused to rush their release like NBA 2K15 did. If 2K Sports keeps having these issues, it would not be surprising to see gamers flock to EA Sports' NBA Live 15.
Due to these issues, the ratings for NBA 2K15 may suffer. Metacritic.com takes multiple reviews and compiles an average for video game ratings.
Let's take a look at the scores that NBA 2K15 received for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game.
The PS4 version of the game is currently rated an 84 Metascore. Average Joe users are rating it a 6.9, citing issues with the servers.
The Xbox One version of the game is currently rated an 81 Metascore. Average Joe users are rating it a 5.7. One user called it "the worst 2K game ever."
Have you played NBA 2K15 yet? What are your thoughts of the game so far?
