Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber Relationship News: Actress Turns to the Dalai Lama for Advice
Selena Gomez turned to a spiritual source, the Dalai Lama, for advice and posted a photo on her Instagram with the Tibetan spiritual leader in Vancouver Tuesday.
Her Instagram post read, "Words of wisdom," along with the hash tag, "speechless."
The Dalai Lama went to Vancouver as a special guest at the Heart-Mind Youth Summit. He met with students and celebrities to inspire the next generation of compassionate leaders.
The 22-year-old actress and singer recently opened up about her seeking advice from her best friend, Taylor Swift. She said Taylor gave her great advice, telling her that she needs to surround herself with people that will push her to do better.
Gomez, an UNICEF ambassador, hosted a global youth volunteerism movement, We Day in Vancouver. Jennifer Lopez was also expected to attend the event along with other celebrities.
Selena wrote on her Instagram, "Prepping, rehearsing and beyond enjoying my company for Free the Children, WE DAY. My second time here and now hosting the dang thing! Go check them out at WeDay.com they are truly remarkable!"
Rumors of her on- and off-again relationship with Justin Bieber are spreading even more now that she has visited his hometown. They were seen arriving on the same flight, which Bieber explained away be saying that they are just attending meetings together.
Orlando Bloom, rumored to be Selena's crush, was seen at the event as well.
We Day encourages young people to commit themselves to volunteering in a year-long educational experience. The Heart-Mind conference shares similar views, encouraging children to have empathy.
The Dalia Lama Center for Peace and Education recently partnered with lululemon athletica Inc. The Tibetan leader announced the news at the Summit. According to Market Watch, through their partnership, they will build the capacity for communities to promote mindfulness, or a non-judgmental awareness on the present moment, to foster heart and mind well-being in children and youth.
