Jep Robertson of the A&E reailty-TV hit "Duck Dynasty" suffered a seizure while hunting last weekend.

The youngest son in the family of Duck Commander operators was rushed to the hospital and is reportedly recovering. The cause of the 36-year-old's seizure has not been discovered.

"Well, I about died this past Sunday...I'm doing much better now," Jep tweeted on Saturday. "Thanks for all the prayers! #seizuresuck #gladtobealive."

The family released a statement to E! News about the health scare.

"Earlier this week while deer hunting, Jep suffered from a seizure," the statement read. "Thankfully, he was in the stand with friends, and [brother] Willie was at the hunting camp when it occurred so he was by his side in a matter of minutes."

The statement went on to say that Jep was immediately taken to a local hospital in their home state of Louisiana and was treated upon arrival.

"He is doing well now, but is still in the hospital for additional tests and observation and he is being treated with antibiotics to cover a range of possible infections believed to have caused the seizure," the family said. "Our family would like to thank everyone for their love and support and ask that you keep Jep, [his wife] Jessica and their children in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time."

Jep, whose full name is Jules Jeptha Robertson, and Jessica Robertson had recently celebrated their anniversary in early October. They have four children together: Lily, Merritt, Priscilla and River.

"Happy Anniversary Babe! I couldn't imagine life without you! You are #myrock," he tweeted on Oct. 7 to his spouse.

Jep and his older brothers Willie, Alan and Jase Robertson all are series regulars on "Duck Dynasty," which returns to A&E for its seventh season premiere scheduled for Nov. 19.
