Pedro Fernandez's departure from "Hasta El Fin Del Mundo" came as a shock.

Initially, there were whispers that Fernandez's wife and daughters were unhappy with his romantic scenes with co-star Marjorie de Sousa, but after his wife and children were attacked on social media, Fernandez spoke up.

Fernandez claimed that the real reason he was quitting the show was because of his health.

"The last five months I have worked a lot," he said. "The level of work I've done is impressively high, and sooner or later, I've been feeling it, so that's the reason. Understand that the telenovela can't wait ... it requires too much time, and it's not possible for me."

Fernandez explained that he was having trouble with his heart and had also been losing weight.

In addition, the actor explained he is very sad the media continues to say he is leaving because of his wife and children. He said people were being disrespectful to him and his family.

The actor also called his family his biggest supporters.

However, sources continue to say that Fernandez left because of his wife. She supposedly gave him an ultimatum, which meant Fernandez had to choose between his wife and his career.

It probably didn't add validity to Fernandez's claim when his co-star Julian Gil said that the actor was looking healthy before his exit from the show.

"Everyone has their own motives. Everyone lives their life as they want," he said. "But those who can't handle the heat need to get out of the kitchen. I saw him healthy enough, but if that's what he said, then he has his reasons."

The telenovela will continue, but instead of writing off Fernandez's character, David Zepeda will be playing the same role of Chava. Zepeda has already started filming the show.
