Miley Cyrus Stuns in Tom Ford Dress at amfAR L.A. Inspiration Gala
Pop and shock superstar Miley Cyrus attended the amfAR L.A. Inspiration Gala Wednesday night in a dress that was...barely there.
The dress was a creation by Tom Ford, the American designer who was being honored for his philanthropic work with the organization. It featured sheer panels and sleeves connected by crisscrossing black strips of sequin material reminiscent of duct taped-bondage.
Luckily the strategically-placed straps, acting as pseudo-suspenders to the dress' long black skirt, covered Miley's breasts. At least, they provided as much coverage as a duct tape stripe can give.
Cyrus looked very similarly styled to Ford's model when the outfit first appeared in his runway collection, with smoky silver cat-eye makeup to match.
Leaving very little to the imagination, paparazzi snapped many photos of the star, who hasn't appeared on a red carpet since the MTV VMAs. The chiffon top exposed her numerous tattoos on the sleeves and on the open-back design.
Cyrus attended the event with her mother, Tish, as her date. Momma Cyrus was wearing a more covered-up silver dress to the event.
The 21-year-old took to the stage to speak with Estee Lauder president John Dempsey during the ceremony.
However, Rihanna also was a front-runner in the most cleavage-bearing dress category at the formal charity event. The "Diamonds" singer came to the event dressed in another provocative creation, this time covering the necessary body parts with purple crystals sewn to the sheer cups.
RiRi's dress had a silver belted fabric attaching the see-through top to the flowing, Grecian white skirt. She accessorized the frock with sleeked-down hair and a white neck wrap of a similar fabric to the dress.
The gala raises money for AIDS research. This year's L.A. event was held at Milk Studios in Hollywood and hosted by Gwyneth Paltrow.
