iPhone 5 and 6 Cases and Accessories: These Luxurious Designs Will Make Your Smartphone Stand Out But Come at a High Price
Owning an iPhone may have made you feel special in 2007, but let's face it: those days are over.
Across the country and across the globe, Apple has sold more than 500 million of the nifty little devices, according to Forbes (and that was six months ago, mind you). Even if you are a proud early owner of the iPhone 6, you aren't exactly a trailblazer; on Day 1, you were only one of 10 million owners, its maker bragged.
One way to stand out from the crowd is by equipping your iPhone with a unique case. The variety is endless, so chances are you're not going to find the same case twice on the same subway car. Still, if you really want to make sure of that, you could decide on one of these luxurious -- and in most cases, somewhat pricey -- options:
The ultra-sleek Titanium C3 from Gresso is certainly an eyecatcher. It's handmade and "the only one of its kind in the world," its maker beams.
The case features an "innovative opening mechanism" and comes, complete with a certificate of authenticity, in a wooden gift box.
The downside? At $3,000, the Titanium C3's cost exceeds that of even the most expensive standard iPhone 6 by more than seven and a half times. The Titanium C3 features a "18К white gold Gresso logo," but if you're just after some bling, you've got a cheaper option: For $50, Case-Mate offers this 24 Karat Gold Case.
Too shiny? There's a $80 pearl variety, as well.If haute couture is your thing, why not opt for a Gucci case to protect your phone. The Italian fashion icon offers no fewer than 10 varieties.
The Leopard print case will set you back $210, but it sure to stand out at any party.
If you're a more cost-conscious Gucci aficionado, you could go with this $120 option: Sure, it's plastic, but it's still "Made in Italy."
In the country of Michelangelo and Galileo, howthings move a bit slower, however: So far, the cases are only available for the iPhone 5.
