Real Housewives of Atlanta Cast News: Star Porsha Williams Allegedly Getting Spinoff Show on Bravo
Last month, Porsha Williams announced her demotion from "housewife" to "friend of the housewives" on Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Atlanta."
She later revealed that she was "blindsided" when Bravo producers decided to cut her starring role on the show.
"RHOA" producer Andy Cohen then spoke out about Williams' status on the show and blamed her lackluster storyline as the reason for her demotion.
However, a new story from Media Take Out claims that Williams' demotion on "RHOA" was actually a calculated plan by the show's producers to give Williams her own spinoff series.
"According to MTO's top Bravo snitch, when Bravo "demoted" Porsha and took away her peach ... it wasn't a real demotion. We're told that they immediately signed her on to do her own SPIN OFF SHOW, like the one that Kim Zolciak has," the MTO story reads.
The MTO story then continues to reveal that Williams will begin filming her spinoff at the start of the year, after the latest season of "RHOA" ends filming.
Though neither Bravo nor Williams has confirmed the spinoff news, Williams has been avidly promoting the new season of "RHOA" via Instagram and Twitter.
The Dish Nation co-host recently posted several Instagram photos of herself and the housewives celebrating Phaedra Parks' birthday.
Check out some of the photos below.
"RHOA" veteran, Nene Leakes was not in attendance for Parks' birthday, which was celebrated at an undisclosed location in the Philippines, due to her recurring health problems, E! News reports.
According to RadarOnline, Leakes suffers from pulmonary embolisms and was encouraged by her doctors not to travel for long periods of time.
Being that the Philippines is a 20 hour flight from Atlanta, Leakes opted not to fly.
"RHOA" fans will be able to see the housewives' Philippines trip on the newest season of "RHOA," which premieres on Nov. 2 at 8/7c.
